Please Help Identify

The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community's help in identifying a suspected bank robber.

On Friday, March 1, 2013, at 3:56 p.m., police responded to the 1600 block of Response Road regarding a robbery at the Bank of the West. The male adult suspect approached the teller, demanded money and indicated that he had a gun, but no firearm was ever seen.

After receiving the cash, the suspect left the bank then fled the area on a bicycle.  Sacramento Police Neighborhood Crimes detectives, in conjunction with the FBI, are currently conducting the investigation.

The suspect (pictured below) is described as a male White adult in his thirties, approximately 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, approximately 170 pounds, blonde hair, blue eyes, with a red goatee (at the time of the robbery).  The suspect also had tattoos on his arms and a tattoo with black ink on the back of his neck.  During the robbery the suspect was wearing a black jacket, black baggie pants and a grey beanie with "LB" on the front.  The suspect wore a black backpack that may have had a web type design on it.

There was a similar robbery in a neighboring jurisdiction earlier the same day that may have been related to the above incident.  No further details are available at this time as detectives are continuing to follow up on the earlier incident.

The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact the dispatch center at (916) 264-5471 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357) or text in a tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
